Saint Gervais with its adjoining Megève is the heart of the enormous Evasion Mont Blanc ski area. The town is inhabited by over 5,000 people and thus has retained its original alpine character and is not a typical mountain resort. Tourists, however, will find plenty of restaurants and accommodation here. The entire area of Evasion Mont Blanc offers over 440 km of ski slopes. All at the foot of Europe's highest peak, Mont Blanc, which majestically dominates the horizon. Although the nearby Megève has its own airport, the easiest way to go to Geneva is by plane, from which you will be taken by the A40 motorway.
