The Dachstein West Resort is not to be confused with the nearby Schladming Dachstein. As the name suggests, the Dachstein West is located on the west side of the Dachstein Glacier and consists of the villages of Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg. Together, they offer 77 km of slopes, of which only 7 km are blue slopes. It is one of the lower ski resorts in Austria, so the season here may be a bit shorter. The conditions, however, are usually perfect.
